Self Care as Spiritual Practice
Kowhai Dalton is dedicated to self care as spiritual practice. She’s a passionate self-transformation practitioner, yoga teacher, lover of universal wisdom, and conscious body movement mentor.
Kowhai offers workshops and one-on-one mentoring supporting women with embodied daily practices combined with philosophical application.
Wise beyond her years, it means a lot to Kowhai to be able to support women to change their ideas about what self care is and that making a commitment to “know thyself” is the essence of self-care practice. She uses ancient wisdom of yoga practices and energetic mapping to help women learn how to listen more deeply to the messages from their bodies and learn ways to be kind, and love and honour themselves.
Kowhai is all too familiar with trying to fit into a certain look and way of living. She worked for a great company in Melbourne Australia but the fast pace and outer focused living didn’t fit with her. She witnessed herself getting caught up in outer appearances and “punishing” her body at the gym to look a certain way. It was unsustainable and she left that way of life to find her own way of living in tune with nature and the inner promptings of her soul.
Growing up in northern New Zealand, Kowhai has one foot in Maori culture, part of her lineage and the other foot in the western world. Her nomadic spirit has taken her to other lands and cultures to study and learn sacred practices. She currently lives in Bali, Indonesia and conducts workshops there and abroad.
Kowhai has a gift of helping women embrace the gift of not fitting in and to find their own magnificence and voice that is unique to them.
- honouring our bodies, not punishing them
- the importance of listening more, being more curious, feeling more
- implementing yogic wisdom, the chakras to live a more wholehearted
