The day I dropped learning how to row and began learning how to sail.
Maybe you too have those days when you feel like you are walking in thick mud thigh deep and you can barely move forward, but you keep pushing through the mud convinced there’s some nobility in the struggle.
I did this.
Day after day.
Not getting very far along.
So exhausted and I wondered why I persisted.
But I’m not a quitter, so I kept pushing on in the only way I knew how.
Sure I’d have the odd self-care days and fantasize feeling like this every day in my business.
Relaxed
Centred
Inspired
Internally spacious
Present
Getting things done with effortless effort, but I just couldn’t see how.
I was too caught up in learning to row harder, row faster to get to where I wanted to go.
It’s what I was taught, what I learned, and how the world works under the patriarchal system. Push, Force, Relentlessly Row, and Produce, Produce, Produce.
And then a lightbulb went off. I read something from the Dao called Wu Wei
Non-forcing principle … Bing.
Follow life’s flow… Bing
I heard the phrase
“Learn the art of sailing rather than the art of rowing”
BING BING BING
Ahhhhh this is in alignment with my feminine creative nature. I started to tune in more to this energy. Our innate Shakti power.
I started to let this energy guide me into the art of sailing where there is no need to push, force, hustle to achieve. No more rowing harder, faster.
Allow
Follow your flow
Trust your Intuition
Let your creativity be expressed
I now follow this energy and use my innate feminine Shakti Power to guide me into the energy of FLOW - Free Liberated Open Wild.
Committed to unravel all that blocks this natural flow from being expressed.
Heart me in the comments if you too feel called to practice the art of sailing rather than rowing?
And check out my 2021 program Shakti Power F.L.O.W. for business. Doors are now open.
